Dr Gyanesh Kumar Sinha

Prof Gyanesh Kumar Sinha has a PhD (Industrial Engineering & Management), an MTech (Gold medallist) from the Indian Institute of Technology (ISM), Dhanbad, and a BE from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (formerly VRCE), Nagpur. He is also UGC-NET qualified. (Management). He has over 24 years of experience in teaching and industry in operations, total quality management, decision sciences, and supply chain management. He has published more than 40 research articles in reputed journals/conferences on diverse areas of management like operations, supply chain, productivity, water resources, and human resource practices using both qualitative and quantitative tools. He has recently published a textbook for management students and practitioners in the operations management domain with a leading publisher.
He has also conducted MDPs and EDPs for middle and senior-level managers/engineers from companies like CPWD, Orient Fans, Yamaha, Asian Paints, IRCTC, Container Corporation India, Air India, etc. He has done consultancy projects in Inventory, capacity planning, and layout planning for leading firms. He has worked on a consultancy project in the healthcare supply chain funded by the United Nations.
He has delivered Lectures for IGNOU on the EDUSAT Programme (Telecasted on Doordarshan Channel – GYANDARSHAN) on Production and Industrial Management. He has delivered MOOC lectures on the SWAYAM platform in the area of inventory management. He has been invited as a session chair in various international conferences and as a resource person to conduct FDP in reputed universities like Delhi University, etc. His current research interests are focused on green practices in supply chain management and logistics, as well as sustainable mobility. He has discharged various duties and responsibilities in the academic administration area, such as Controller of Examinations, Member of the Academic Council, Member of the Board of Studies, Chairperson of the Open Defence Committee, Area chair, and IQAC member, to name a few. He loves listening to and singing classical songs and playing tabla. He is a lifetime member of the Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering and AIMA.
