Designed as an incubator of ideas, the Centre integrates learning sciences, digital systems design, and convergence technologies to enhance teaching–learning effectiveness. Students engage in live projects, interdisciplinary collaboration, and applied R&D, while also receiving mentorship to develop and implement their own innovation ideas. Participants are recognised as Information Research Innovators, contributing to NU’s technology and knowledge ecosystem.
ETIC’s work is grounded in research on constructivist learning, brain-aligned instruction, and value-creating work–learning integration. Through initiatives such as Learning Premier Leagues, the Additive Curriculum, and the student-led Centre of Excellence in Educational Technology (CoEET), the Centre promotes experiential, project-based, and self-directed learning. By fostering innovation, research capability, and industry engagement, ETIC plays a central role in shaping NU’s vision of becoming the University of the Future.
